the client

A servant organization supporting independent businesses.

AMBEST is a member organization dedicated to supporting independent truck stop and service center owners and operators.

From its earliest days to today, AMBEST has served its Members by helping them prosper amid corporate competition. But the organization needed new clarity around who it served, how it should talk about its value, and how to turn that clarity into a practical plan.

A Member Organization Supporting Independent Businesses

the ACTIONS

Research first. Strategy second. Design after the truth showed up.

To develop the most strategic and actionable plans, we took a deep dive into the industry, national and regional competition, national travel centers, service centers, service networks, driver behaviors, the fuel card landscape, system platforms, and independent networks and cooperatives.

stakeholder interviews

To develop the most strategic and actionable plans, we took a deep dive into the industry, national and regional competition, national travel centers, service centers, service networks, driver behaviors, the fuel card landscape, system platforms, and independent networks and cooperatives.

field travel

We traveled to member locations in Tennessee, Alabama, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah to better understand the network on the ground.

market scan

We studied national chains, regional competition, service networks, driver behavior, fuel cards, and cooperative models.

board alignment

The findings and go-to-market strategy were presented to AMBEST executives and the board of directors at annual strategic sessions.

the findings

The market was competitive, but the story still resonated.

We interviewed customers, leadership, and company personnel to understand what actually made E-Fab different. From there, we rebuilt the narrative, brand identity, tone of voice, website, content structure, and demand-generation program around the realities of technical B2B buying. The new system gave buyers faster access to capabilities, materials, industry pages, process information, and RFQ pathways. Then we supported the launch with SEO, PPC, technical optimization, content marketing, LinkedIn, ABM, and marketing stack improvements.

Uncovering the AMBEST customer came down to remembering the company’s original spark: to act as a servant organization for independent owners and operators.

blind spot one

Internal teams were operating in silos

Sales, marketing, and loyalty were not relying on each other enough to serve the Member.

blind spot two

Member Success needed a home

AMBEST had an opportunity to help Members grow their businesses, use AMBEST’s offerings, and optimize their locations.

the work

a connected system beats a one-off campaign.

The program included a refreshed brand foundation, new website architecture, manufacturing-specific SEO research, Google and Bing ad campaigns, RFQ form optimization, directory and backlink work, technical content, LinkedIn growth, account-based marketing, sales enablement, and HubSpot / Apollo IO optimization.

Branding

Logo, design system, messaging platform, tone and voice, brand style guide.

Digital

Website strategy, technical SEO, mobile performance, RFQ paths, security and speed.

Content

Industry pages, material expertise, technical blogs, authority-building, search-everywhere content.

Demand

PPC, ABM, LinkedIn advertising, lead nurturing, sales collateral, reporting cadence.

the client says

“They were invested in the successful outcome and treated us as if we were their most important client.”

— Rocky Gernhardt, Sales Manager

why it matters

buyers need proof before they need a pitch.

This work shows what happens when deep industry research, brand clarity, technical content, search visibility, paid media, and ongoing optimization work together. E-Fab did not need louder decoration. They needed a clearer path between real expertise and real demand. That is the point: make the message easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to act on.

got a complicated story? good. let’s make it useful.
