the call

Red Tails is our tent pole release, and we need help telling the story of its production. Are you game?

Create a list of deliverables, build a plan, and then get to work.

Step one: Interview Tuskegee Airman Dr. Roscoe Brown, director Anthony Hemmingway,  producers Chas. Floyd Johnson and Rick McCallum, writer Aaron McGruder, cast members Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, Michael B. Jordan, and Andre Royo, composer Terence Blanchard and post-production crewmembers such as Ben Burtt and Matthew Wood.

Step two: Interview Lynn Swann and ghostwrite an article for him that will appear in the Boulé Journal, the official publication of the legendary Sigma Pi Phi fraternity.

Step three: Tie it all together for the Production Notes, a 25-page document that tells the story of the film’s origins and production.

Step four: Break all that content down for the Lucasfilm marketing department to use in Media, Ambassador, and Corporate Pitch kits.

Step five: See the movie.

This was the project of a lifetime. It was humbling to have the opportunity to speak with actual American heroes and tell part of their stories. Working with the Lucasfilm team was inspiring, especially as we heard about the care they took with this legendary historical story. Plus, we got to speak with some amazing actors, writers, musicians, and the director.
